Slovenia needs a new development model. And the Slovenian economy has to do its part. But first and foremost, it's not about pride. Forecasts of an increase in public spending due to an ageing population are inexorable.
Although Slovenia likes to boast of low levels of inequality, the current tax system is not fair to those who do not have an existing financial background and who want to succeed with their own work and knowledge.
The global competition for quality personnel is fierce and will intensify in the future due to global factors (population ageing and population decline worldwide).
Slovenia needs to accelerate the digitalisation of the country and public services. Slovenia started to digitize intensively immediately after independence, but in the last ten years it has begun to lag behind other countries.
